Still Going

We have not had the internet in quite a while so that could be just one reason for the lack of

blogging. I sure like to be able to put pictures on the blog,, but oh well.

Things have been going great these last couple of months. Yes we had our 1 year anneversary and spent in on a cruise to mexico. It was pretty cool but there were a lot of things that would probably steer us away from doing it again. I know it is not for everyone.

We also had my brother Steve for a few days as well and had a blast. We had not seen eachother in a little over a year and his navy ship came into port right here in Seattle so he was able to come stay a few nights. We have lots of pictures of our time together. We tried to make him feel at home and were able to go golfing one day and dang was he good. He kept right up with chris I had a blast just watching. Then Steve got to check out our church with us and go on a hike to a beautiful waterfall. Ahh and the next day we took him to a Mariners game and he must have been lucky because they actually won the game. Then we showed him the sights in Seattle and Steve gave us a tour of his ship the Germantown. wow. But the best part for me was just the quality time we got to have with him. Many of you know that Steve has had a rough couple of months and I looked forward to showing him how very much we all love him and are so proud of him.

Well thats the scoop! Chris and I are going to start searching for a job in a more reasonable place to live so Please keep us in your prayers about our near future. we love you all and God bless.

Our Many Witty Adventures

I see it has been a long while since our last post, but hopefully someone still checks in.
We have been quite the busy little couple these days, but for sure in a good way. This pix
is one of the beautifull hikes and waterfalls we see living here. This particular time the water was so crazy because all the rivers were flooding this time of the year so it made for a very exciting time, and you see we had the sign to scare the parents.
Lets see what else....... well we just moved last week, but only across town. This place is so beautifull right in the forest and semi secluded from the city life which is more our style. It has been a fun time although we have had to get rid of a lot things we did not actually need if you know what I mean.

Last month we were able to join my parents on the coast for a few days and it was much needed. We miss all of our family so much and any chance we can get is worth doing. So we got to slow down and do some nice walks on the beach and hey we even got my parents to go bowling and they turned out to be pretty dang good.

And last but certainly not least we our coming up on our 1 year anneversary and looking forward to a baha cruise we have set up for the same week we were married so this will be very exciting, we will even be stopping in san deigo which happens to be where my brother Steve is stationed in the Navy and we havn't seen him in a year so I am thrilled. It has been a good first year, many challenges, excitements and even some dissapointments, but most of all tons of growing closer to God and closer and more in Love with eachother.
Ah what a cornball I am huh.
well later yualls

HERMISTON BLAST

Posted by Picasa
We a took trip over to Hermiston this last weekend to hang out with Stan & Angie and the kids. We had so much fun playing games, talking, eating and playing with the kids. This was a much needed trip for Chris and I. This family is so very special and they have such amazing children. Amazingly when we leave we are never thinking "oh know we don't want kids" but we sure do learn a lot. Well here is collage of our joyful trip enjoy!

Moses Lake Exploration

Picture a flat, barron, lifeless, dusty, uneventfull place and you would be picturing Moses Lake Washington....
This weekend we took a trip to Moses Lake to scope it out as a possible place to work and live. We had hoped that it would've had more of a Klamath feel to it, but it wasn't so. About the only thing going for it was the low cost of living. The average home there cost at least half of what it costs in Redmond and gas was about $0.15 less too. We still want to have our hearts open to what God might have planned so we aren't going to rule it out. For right now though, we will still remain in Redmond. We still like Redmond, but it is a very expensive place to live. We are not the kind of people that need big shopping centers and a hip night life. We just want to wind up in a place that is good for raising kids and relativley close to a mountain and a river for outdoor activities.

Bandon Golf Trip '08

This year will be our second annual Bandon Golf trip as a married duo. This year we were blessed with amazing sunny weather on the coast (in February no less!). I have to give props to Shell for her outstanding performance on the golf course. She really has a great swing. I think that her softball days served her quite well. I’ve only taken her to the golf range less than a half a dozen time and she can already hit it 200 yards. As for myself, I couldn’t hit one butt cheek with both hands! But I have to say, I did beat my dad in match play…although he did beat me by one in stroke play.
The drive was a bit longer than we anticipated, but the scenery was beautiful on the 101 going north. We got to watch an Oregon coast sunset, which was really beautiful. Also, we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory and got some ice cream.
Overall, we had such a great time with the Whittemore’s and we will be looking forward to next year’s golf getaway.

Enjoy the pics!

Bible verse of the week

Sooo i didn't realize this until today but Chris and I kinda made a new years resolution. We
Have been memorizing a new bible verse once a week since the beggining of the year. This week
will be our 4th. Chris and his engineering little mind figured it out to be about 52 verses a year.
We will start posting these verses on the blog for anyone who wants to join in on the fun. Ya know if you want to give your brain a workout hehe.

"He who persues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor."
Proverbs 21:21

On a side note......
Just a couple of weekends ago we were able to get two nights free at sunriver resort in Bend, OR. Courtesy of the parents. Thanks. It was extremely beautiful over there with plenty of snow and sunshine so we were able to have a great day snowboarding on Mt. Bachelor. Chris broke
in his new helmet and board and bottom. Well we are going to put pictures of our adventures
on the blog more often so stay tuned. hasta.

Hey Fam,

Shelly and I thought that bloggin would be a fun and interesting way to stay in touch, ‘sides, all the cool people do it!

A lot has happened in the last year, so lets start from the beginning….
Back in June, I finally graduated (sweet! No more homework!). Imediately following Shell and I moved to the beautiful state of Washington. We a have a neat little loft apartment but it is a pain in the ars to keep warm. Then on August 5th 2007 (the best day of my life) Shelly Miller became Shelly Whittemore (has been six months already?). We had such an amazing wedding (thank you Moms and Dads and friends for all the hard work). And to go along with an amazing wedding we went on an amazing honeymoon to the garden island of Kaua’i. We had so much fun and excitement. We went hiking to a remote water fall (in the poring rain!) we kayaked in the ocean, I got to swim with a huge sea turtle, Shelly got in to the ocean FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HER LIFE! We hiked down to one of the most famous beaches in the world (Lumahai Beach). We took a helicopter tour of the island and we even got to fit in some golf. Actually, we packed in so much activity we barely had any time for “the deed” (e.i. sexual congregation). But it was truly a trip of a life time.
And that brings us up to date… Shelly has been my little homemaker (aka Betty Crocker), Chester (the cat, not the milk man) keeps the bed warm and I’ve been the mighty breadwinner. This hierarchy seems to be working out quite well.

So that’s our life in a nut shell… we can barely wait for the next six months. We’ll be posting often so come back and visit!
